Most AI agent demos look awesome for two minutes.
Most of them crash when you run them overnight.
Once an agent moves from answering a quick question to running a 20-hour enterprise workflow, everything gets messy.
- An API times out on step 40.
- A weird response sends the model into an infinite loop.
- Memory gets polluted, and the agent loses the plot entirely.
If your agent dies at hour 18, starting over from step zero isn't acceptable.
If you want agents to run for hours without supervision, spend less time tweaking system prompts and more time building state persistence.
